Gluten-Free Gronkowski … he knows what’s up.
We had a Christmas party last weekend. Normally people bring food but this year, we asked everyone not to bring food. If anyone wanted to bring something, they could bring drinks. For my first Christmas being gluten-free, we thought it would be easier for us to prepare all the food. We had a special guest, as you can see above – a life size cardboard cutout of Rob Gronkowski from the Patriots.
For food, we did only appetizers and desserts.
Glutino crackers and cheese. I hadn’t had Glutino crackers before but they were surprisingly good.
Tomato, basil, and mozzarella
Mi-Del Ginger Snaps with Pillsbury Vanilla frosting
More Gingersnaps, frosting, and chocolate chips.
We had a massive platter of gluten-free cookies
I didn’t get pictures of everything. We also had Applegate gluten-free chicken nuggets with garlic/rosemary roasted red potatoes on skewers, a gluten-free pumpkin cheesecake with a gingersnap crust and tons of tortilla chips. My family makes a dip that is always a hit – it’s cream cheese, salsa, topped with shredded cheese, baked for about 10-15 minutes – also gluten-free. All the non gluten-free folks seemed to like the food too, so that was good. This gets a ghetto gluten-free tag because the only “cooking” it required was the potatoes and heating things up in the oven.
I hope you all have a great holiday!

YUM! Now that looks like a great party!
I love the idea for the chicken and potato skewers and the mozzarella and tomatoes. We will be entertaining soon and will definitely try!
Solid planning and way to be careful about your diet!
So glad to hear it was a success! Glutino crackers are good. I like the cheddar ones best. Your mozzarella app was beautiful. And I see you have a gingersnap addiction. Love the added chips and frosting!
